Steak-Spiced Medallions Recipe

Tender, juicy medallions pan-seared and seasoned with Dion Western Steak Spices. A simple, flavourful classic to share with family.

  • 750 g (1 ยฝ lb) thick medallions, about 2.5 cm (1 in) thick, or steak cuts
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) butter
  • Western Steak Spices, to taste
  1. Remove the meat from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. In a heavy stainless-steel skillet, heat over medium-high. Add the olive oil and butter.

  3. Place the medallions in the pan and cook for about 6 minutes per side for medium doneness. While cooking, baste the medallions with the pan drippings.

  4. Season both sides with Dion Steak Spice.

  5. Remove the medallions, cover with aluminum foil, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
