Quality Control Technician

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of finished products on production lines according to quality and food safety standards
• Support the Quality Manager in the implementation of HACCP and SQF requirements
• Actively participate in internal and external audits
• Maintain quality standards through procedures, work instructions, and forms

Main Duties

• Assist with line start-ups and product changeovers
• Perform pre-operational inspections
• Apply the sampling schedule and ensure equipment calibration
• Collect samples (microbiological, allergen, environmental, etc.)
• Prepare and send samples to external laboratories
• Perform raw material receiving inspections and required testing
• Manage product holds and releases
• Approve packaging materials at receiving and during production
• Identify non-conformities and participate in corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with procedures, including allergen controls
• Train employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), CCPs, and procedures
• Participate in product recalls and traceability exercises
• Maintain a clean and compliant work environment
• Contribute to research and development activities, as needed

Profile Sought

• Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Dietetics, Food Processing, or a related field
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in quality control within the food industry
• Basic knowledge of HACCP systems
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and observational skills
• Team spirit and strong communication skills
