Machine Operator

At Dion, we’re looking for a Machine Operator to join a dynamic team in a structured food manufacturing environment, where quality, safety, and teamwork are at the heart of our operations.

A complete 2–3 week training program is provided in Saint-Jérôme to fully prepare you for the role. After the training period, the position will be based in Terrebonne.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate various machines in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);
• Set up and adjust machines based on production requirements;
• Verify filling levels, distribution of bases and lids, air jets, and labeling;
• Perform label print tests and ensure information is clear, accurate, and legible;
• Verify and comply with product weights and justify any variances when required;
• Continuously monitor raw material levels and supply machines as needed;
• Perform metal detector tests and report any anomalies or rejected products;
• Immediately report any situation that could affect production (overflow, underfilling, labeling issues, etc.);
• Complete and keep production documentation up to date;
• Report and document raw material and packaging losses;
• Document production downtime;
• Perform required cleaning and washdowns based on products;
• Apply quality standards (SQF) related to the position;
• Always comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Working Conditions

• Starting wage: $22.15/hour
• Wage after 2,000 hours: $24.33/hour
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, from 6:50 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. (to be confirmed)
• Unionized environment
• Group insurance after 3 months
